San Antonio, TX (February 28, 2022) – An auto accident reported in the San Antonio area left one woman injured on Sunday morning, January 27. At around 2:48 a.m., the San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 35.

Reports from authorities show that a Hyundai driver was stopped at a red light in the 6200 block of Interstate Highway 35 when a drunk driver crashed into the rear of the vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle then fled the scene of the accident. The police later located the driver and took him into custody for Intoxication assault, failure to stop and render aid, and other charges.

One woman involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

The police department is currently investigating the crash.
