San Antonio, TX (February 22, 2022) – An auto accident reported in Downtown San Antonio caused injuries and delays. Just before 11:25 a.m., on February 22, the San Antonio Police Department was notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 37.

Reports from local law enforcement show that a collision between vehicles blocked the left lanes of Interstate 37 northbound in the area of Carolina Street. The incident created stop-and-go traffic that extended back to Southcross.

The San Antonio Police Department and firefighters secured the area as they worked to clear the roadway.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
