San Antonio, TX (March 22, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Friday in the San Antonio area has claimed the life of one woman while leaving a man seriously injured. At around 12 a.m., on March 18, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a traffic-related incident on Loop 1604.

Reports from authorities show that a collision occurred on the southbound side of Loop 1604 during the early morning hours. The impact of the crash resulted in the vehicle going off the road after striking a barrier. The vehicle ended off-road near Medina Creek with severe damage.

A man inside the vehicle was rushed to an area hospital with injuries.

The female passenger, 26-year-old Kiana Arredondo, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
