San Antonio, TX (October 7, 2021) – A major motor vehicle accident reported on Wednesday evening ended in injuries on the South Side of San Antonio. At around 6:35 p.m., on October 6, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 37.

Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked the three right lanes of northbound Interstate 37. The incident caused moderate delays in traffic from Hackberry Street all the way back to New Braunfels.

The police and firefighters worked to clear the scene as medical personnel rendered aid to victims. An undisclosed number of people were transported to area hospitals for further care.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
