San Antonio, TX (April 5, 2022) – The San Antonio Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the Northeast Side of the city that ended in injuries. At around 8:15 a.m., on April 5, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on Interstate 35.

Reports provided by the SAPD show that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 35 near Thousand Oaks Drive. The incident caused stop-and-go traffic that extended throughout the area.

At least one person involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital, where they underwent medical treatment for injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the victims who were injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.

Car Accidents in Texas

No one is able to completely prepare for the aftermath of a collision. The time following a crash can be extremely confusing. Being forced to deal with painful injuries is only made worse by the towering financial consequences both victims and their families endure.

Regrettably, motor vehicle accidents are far too common in our state. In fact, more than 205,000 people are injured in accidents involving cars, trucks, and SUVs every year across Texas. Although many victims suffer minor injuries that cause no major disruptions in their lives, tens of thousands of people are forced into area hospitals and have to spend weeks off work to recover.
