San Antonio, TX (April 4, 2022) – A skateboarder was struck by a vehicle on the Southwest Side of San Antonio late Saturday evening, leaving him with severe injuries.

Just before 11:30 p.m., on April 2, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Hutchins Place.

Reports from authorities show that a 21-year-old man was riding a skateboard while crossing in the 2800 block of Hutchins Place during the evening hours.

A black SUV was traveling northwest on Hutchins Place at the same time. For unknown reasons, the SUV struck the man.

The pedestrian was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
