La Vernia, TX (December 21, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Saturday in the La Vernia area claimed the lives of two people. At around 3 p.m., on December 18, emergency crews received the request for assistance regarding a crash on County Road 361.

Reports from the La Vernia Police Department show that a vehicle was traveling east on US Highway 87 West. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a second unidentified vehicle at the intersection of County Road 361. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to burst into flames.

One man was severely injured and rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition.

Two other men involved in the crash were declared deceased at the scene by responding officers. Authorities identified the victims as Jordan Williamson from Cibolo, Texas, and Kenneth Boyd from Richardson, Texas.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
