San Antonio, TX (January 4, 2022) – At around 7 p.m., on January 3, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 10.
Preliminary reports from the San Antonio Police Department show that a collision between vehicles blocked the right lanes of eastbound Interstate 10 in the area near Callaghan Road. The incident created stop-and-go traffic that extended back as far as Medical Drive.
At least one person involved in the crash was injured. Medical personnel rendered aid to victims on-site before transporting those in need of further care to area hospitals.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the victims who were injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
Car Accidents in Texas
In Texas, we see our fair share of motor vehicle accidents. In fact, roughly every 2.5 minutes, someone is hurt in a traffic-related incident somewhere in our state. These accidents add up to more than 200,000 people every year. These accidents often leave victims with debilitating injuries that require extensive medical care. Some of the most common injuries sustained by serious crash victims include:
- Broken bones
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Burn injuries
- Back injuries
- Soft tissue (neck) injuries
- Head injuries
These and other injuries often require immediate medical attention. In some cases, victims have to go through long-term care. Not only are these and other severe injuries debilitating, but the costs of treatment can be significant. After you leave the hospital, you should reach out to a car accident attorney in San Antonio who can help you recover the compensation you need for these and other expenses you face moving forward.
