San Antonio, TX – An auto accident reported early Monday morning claimed one man’s life. At around 2:30 a.m., on January 17, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene of an accident on Southwest Loop 410.

Reports from the SAPD show that a man was riding a motorcycle on Southwest Loop 410 when his vehicle was struck from behind by a hero truck. The impact of the crash caused the man to be thrown from his vehicle near Old Pearsall Road.

The man suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to treat the man, who was identified as a 59-year-old man. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
